Gourgaud Gallery Open Call

The Gourgaud Gallery will present the Open Call Exhibit in January. This is our 11th annual event and the theme this year is a dual topic: PEOPLE AND FLOWERS.   The exhibit will run Sunday January 5th to Friday February 28th. Admission to the gallery is free.

PEOPLE AND FLOWERS includes any art medium that illustrates any form of flowers, and/or people in the artwork. The art will include the theme either as the main subject or incorporated in the piece. Paintings, drawings, collages, photography, or other two dimensional mediums, will be accepted.

Please be advised, any work not wired for hanging will not be accepted ---if framed, the work must be in saleable condition (stable, no cracked glass or marred frames).

Submitting work:

Work will be collected Friday, January 3 between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. at the gallery. If severe and/or stormy weather that date will prevent you from bringing work in on time, leave your work in the back closet, or behind the screen (before January 3), and e-mail Linda Gilbert to inform her the work was dropped off before the date appointed for collection. Work brought in after the appointed time and date cannot be accepted.)

Include the application (downloadable below) with your work in clearly marked bags. There is a $5 entrance fee per artist. Please attach your check for $5, made out to Cranbury Arts Council, with a paper clip to the application. Each piece should be clearly labeled on the back with name, title and price. We will notify you of accepted work as soon as possible. Provide your email on the application form so you can be contacted if needed.
